On 19th september 2021 Shuruat completed 5 years since inception. To celebrate the success a function was held at the central auditorium, Prayarag. The function was attended by many prominent citizens and supporters of Shuruaat. IG of Prayagraj, Mr K P Singh graced the event as the chief guest for the occasion. Special guests Mr. Aman Kabir () Mohd. Hasan Zaidi (member of child welfare committee) also attended the event.

IG K P Singh inaugurated the celebratory function and addressed the event. He congratulated team Shuruaat for the excellent work the team is doing. The positive change in the lives of children is clearly visible and it is due to the efforts of the entire Team Shuruaat that today these children from slums of Prayagraj are knocking at the doors of IIT’s.

Cultural program kicked-off with Saraswati Vandana by children of Shuruaat, which was taught to the children by Saundarya Singh Bobby and Karishma Gupta of Chauchak Hub. There were dance performances on ‘Badal par Paav’ and ‘Bum Bum Bole’ songs. Shiv Tandav was also performed by the talented children.

Next performance by children was a play titled – ‘Shuruaat Ka Safar’, which was directed by Mahendra Kanojiya, of National School of Drama. The play told the story of 5 years of Shuruaat’s journey since its start. Also, detailing 5 years of journey of Shuruaat a documentary movie by #MikeFever and #AnswerVentures was shown to the audience.

Next in the event was a nukkad natak based on first #Padbank that was started by Shuruaat. The play was created by Mr. Krishna Maurya and his team from Nukkad Natak Abhinav Institute. It demonstrated various superstitions and misconceptions related to periods, that are popular among people and society.

The evening was then turned musical by the famous bollywood singer Rahul Mishra, who mesmerised the audience with his lovely performances.

A booklet covering 5 years work of Shuruaat was released by honourable chief guest IG K P Singh.

Shuruat founder, Abhishek Shukla then shared the next goal of team shuruaat with the attendees. He elaborated on the plans of starting a primary school from next session and requested the attendees to come forward and contribute to the cause.

The event was brought to an end by vote of thanks by Sanjiv Tripathi, custodian of Shuruaat.
