Inauguration of Pad bank at Shastri Nagar

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (02-Oct-21), Team Shuruaat was proud to start their second padbank at Shastri Nagar.

The first pad bank was started at <Location>. It is being used by <number> of girls and women on a monthly basis. Women have walked for 10 km to avail free pads speaks of the success of the first branch. We were encouraged by the response but, more than that after listening to women and girls who walked into our pad-bank to avail the pads, we understood  the necessity of the pad-banks across Prayagraj, we were determined to expand it.

Within 10 months of starting the first pad-bank, Team Shuruaat was able to start the second pad-bank in Allahabad. This would not have been possible without the immense support and contribution we have received from well-wishers and contributors of Shuruaat.

Pad-bank was inaugurated by Srimati Kanchan Kushwaha ji and fellow women from the nearby areas. On the first day itself about 80 women availed the benefit of free pads from the Shastri Nagar Pad-bank.

Every account holder will now be able to avail the facility of free sanitary pads from the Shastri Nagar pad-bank branch.
